Flash idea: Lucky Dog BBQ

I am not a heat girl, so I’ve been loving the cooler-than-normal temperatures the past few weeks. But it’s all going to end tomorrow with the forecast in the mid-90s, so if you want to get outdoors today, why not head to the Lucky Dog Animal Rescue party at Congressional Cemetery

The fun, dog-friendly annual event (this is their 8th year) is being held at the historic location for the first time. Dogs are not only welcome, it’s required they be off-leash!

With 35+ acres to cover, be ready for a tired pup tonight! And you can exercise your wallet at their great silent auction.

It runs from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, tickets are $35 a person or $95 for a family four-pack at the door.

The cemetery is at 1801 E St SE, Washington DC 20003. There’s plenty of street parking.

Hope to see you there!
