On Saturday, April 19, the George Washington baseball team is hosting the inaugural Bark at Barcroft Promotion at their home field of Barcroft Park in South Arlington. Dog owners get to sit beside your best canine friend(s) while watching the GW Colonials take on Massachusetts in an Atlantic 10 Conference game!
Starting at 11:00 a.m., pet owners can enter the DogZone, a special area located inside the gates of Barcroft Park where local vendors will be providing dog-related services, free giveaways, information and dog-related advice. Fans and their pets will then be invited to enter the grandstand to watch the Colonials face the Minutemen at 1:00 p.m.
All pet owners attending the game with their dog will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging that their animal is vaccinated. Fans are asked to only bring well-behaved, social and leashed dogs to the ballpark.
Ticket options for the event include regularly-priced single-game general admission tickets at $6, or a specialty ticket which includes admission to the game and the choice of a GW dog leash, collar or bandanna for $20 or $25.
For tickets, visit the GW Athletics Ticket office at the Charles E. Smith Center, call (202) 99-GWTIX or email tickets@gwu.edu. Tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the game or at any other GW Baseball games prior to April 19.
