Take advantage of the not-muggy weather and get down to Old Town this Sunday for the Alexandria’s Walk for the Animals, benefiting the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
The walk is from 9 am to 12 pm, and begins in Old Town Market Square. Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for kids 5-12, and FREE for dogs and kids under 5.
The event is hosted by Dr. Katy Nelson of the Pet Show with Dr. Katy, and there are all sorts of activities and prizes! Plus, Old Town is incredibly dog-friendly, so stick around afterwards and visit one of the many businesses that welcome dogs, or dine at a restaurant with outdoor seating!
