The weather is georgous this week, so take advantage of it and head to the Hotel Monaco Alexandria for a Hawaiian yappy hour on Thursday, May 23 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The Canine Wingman Company is sponsoring the event to raise funds for the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and the Viola Lawson Animal Shelter. There will be a costume contest, drink specials, giveaways and a a 50/50 raffle.
All attendees will receive free sunglasses and other door prizes will be given to all guests. Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts and island attire are encouraged.
Jackson 20 has created a special tropical drink and Barkley Square will be selling gourmet dog treats.
Admission is free.
From April to October, the Hotel Monaco also hosts a regular doggie yappy hour every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 p.m. in their outdoor courtyard.
The Hotel Monaco is at 480 King St. in the heart of Old Town Alexandria.
